1. Optimize the contents of your website
2. Develop contents with strategy
3. Make use of PPC
4. Write articles and market them
5. Use social media marketing methods
6. Create a blog
7. Experiment with video marketing

1. Optimize the contents of your website

It is important to optimize the website to its fullest capabilities. Partially search engines rank websites based on contents (I have done a post on non-contents seo some time ago). The website must be search engine friendly and useful to the human user.

2. Develop contents with strategy

Building contents with strategy, you need to always create new contents as both your readers and the bots love fresh new contents. All contents needs to be well optimized to get you maximum exposure.

3. Make use of PPC

Search engine optimization can take time, especially in competitive markets. By using PPC engines you can get immediate traffic to your website while you wait for your seo efforts to kick in. Generally it is advisable to engage in seo and PPC campaigns as the mix will benefit you greatly.

4. Write articles and market them

A very effective method of marketing is to publish articles. These need to be submitted to as many article directories as possible. Other websites might use your article as contents and this will help you gain link popularity. Commonly the links are not of much value in regards to PR gains. You can also syndicate your articles via RSS.

Blog Ping Services

Sunday, January 6th, 2008

Every time you do a post your blog will ping the major services to tell them you have new contents. Ping services can help you increase the number of visitors that come to your blog.

How does ping service work ? The page that pings you will list your posting and when the bots visit the ping sites they automatically follow the links to index the contents.

A good method to get any page indexed quickly is by placing the link of this specific page on a new post that you will ping. Within hours the bots will visit your post and the link that is on the post.

Get yourself organized - Start a new year

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

A happy new year to all readers. This post will get you started for the new year. Being well organized will help you achieve your goals for 2008.

Have you ever thought about how great it would be to have a simple system to keep your day organized? I have. For over a year now I’ve been working with a discrete stack of cards on the corner of my desk. Each month I print off a new stack, bind them together with one of those black flexi-clips, and get to work. I’ve found that if I give myself just four things to get done in a day — above and beyond the email, phone calls, and meetings — I go home at night feeling THAT MUCH MORE productive.

The basic premise of the system is built around FOUR MAIN DAILY GOALS:

S is for “SOONER IS BEST”. This is your top priority. This is the first thing you need to get done. Now. Write a goal here that you want finished before lunch.

M is for “MEDIUM TERM GOALS”. Second in line, but still important. Write a goal here that you need to have done before you go home.

R is for “RISKING SOMETHING”. This is goal that sets you above the crowd. Write something here that is a nudge and a wink away from your usual tasks: something that you COULD do, but not something someone expects you to do. Do this and you may just be a hero — or in line for a raise.

T is for “TOMORROW TODAY”. Last, but not least, get a jump on tomorrow. If you get through the other three goals, kick off tomorrow’s work before you go home tonight.

Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization Any difference

Saturday, December 1st, 2007

For many casual internet users, the terms SEM and SEO rarely enter their minds when they are busy jumping from one website to another. However, it is these terms that determine much of what comes out on the results page whenever we type in a word in the search tab of any accessible search engine. These terms are also responsible for all those advertisements and pop-ups that link us to even more websites, whether they may be connected to our original search or not. So just what are SEM and SEO?In the simplest way possible, SEM and SEO are tools which website creators, especially those who are promoting and selling a certain service or product, use in order to gain a lot of exposure and better ranking for their website. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, the simplicity ends there. To make it a tad bit complex, SEM and SEO are not the same. As suggested by the names, SEM, or Search Engine Marketing, deals more with how a website is marketed to gain exposure in the different search engines available on the internet, while SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, deals with how the web creators develop and re-develop the content, quality and structure of their entire websites so that whenever an internet user types in a particular word in the search tab, their websites have a better chance of appearing on the first few search engine results pages (SERPS).Now, to make it even more complex, although the functions of SEM and SEO seem different, they are more effective when used together. Since the main function of SEM is to gain more exposure for a website, the more common means for attraction are online advertisements, blogs, internet articles, partner and sponsored websites, and anything that can catch the eye of the internet user. SEM also makes use of PPC (pay-per-click) and paid inclusion to further push a website’s visibility. Lastly, it is also an important process in SEM to submit the name and URL of a website to different search engines and web directories if only to inform them of the website’s existence. All this is carried out to ensure the popularity of a website.
