I came across a questionable service where a group of individuals offer a blog commenting service. Blog commenting is a great way to increase link popularity, traffic and even PageRank if commenting is done on DoFollow blogs.
The page that offers this service is buyblogcomments.com
(I will not link to the page as it surely looks like bad neighborhood to me lol).
The page advertises their service as follows :
“We currently have 6 people working with me (Jon waraas) that speak English really well. We dont use people who can’t even speak English. It is important to have well written blog comments so that they will not get deleted by the blogger. All of our trained staff are currently from the USA and Canada and speak English very well.
Buy Blog Comments dot com is NOT spam! When you purchase blog comments from us, you are getting quality blog comments. They wont be saying stuff like “nice site, check out these free insurance quotes”.. the blog comments will be about the blog post that we are commenting on. You won’t even be able to tell our blog comments apart from the rest. So the blogger is safe, it will look completely like a legit comments that someone reading the blog post wrote. In fact, most blogger will like the free comments to help with their with there community.. ”
Now besides the “bull****” that they have mentioned on their website I have analyzed the domain to check PR and more important the links that the PR consist of.
The page is PR0 and here is a brief analysis of their incoming links:
1.) Comments have rel=“nofollow”
2.) Small number of links that have PR5+
3.) Commenting on non English language blogs
4.) Link juice in case of do follow blogs max. 2.3
These guys don’t know what they are doing. Keeping away from such services can save you money and trouble.
I have posted a list of do follow blogs in a recent post, you can use this list to add some comment links to your website.
We suggest you contact us for any seo service you may need.

While doing some research I came across and interesting post by Pat McCarthy
While doing some research, an astute coworker of mine noticed that the Google Enterprise Solutions page has links to their partners’ websites who are part of their Enterprise program. What’s interesting about this is that the page has a Google PageRank of 7/10, and to get listed on that page you have to pay Google $10,000 per year to be part of their program.
Before you claim I’m overreacting, let me state my case with some evidence:
1. The only way to get a link on this page is to pay Google $10,000 per year.
2. Google is against the inclusion of paid links in their Pagerank algorithm that helps determine search results. Here is a quote from their Corporate Technology page:
PageRank also considers the importance of each page that casts a vote, as votes from some pages are considered to have greater value, thus giving the linked page greater value. Important pages receive a higher PageRank and appear at the top of the search results. Google’s technology uses the collective intelligence of the web to determine a page’s importance. There is no human involvement or manipulation of results, which is why users have come to trust Google as a source of objective information untainted by paid placement.
3. Google’s most prominent blogger Matt Cutts has spoken out against paid links and recommended use of the rel=”NOFOLLOW” attribute.

A quick post to give you the best PageRank tool I could find, this freeware is called “Parameter”. A great tool that really simplifies monitoring the PageRank of multiple domains. You can update PR with a simple mouse click. If you are running a network of affiliate blogs or websites, or you are looking for link exchange partners then this tool is very handy.
You can also use this tool to extract url’s with any required link depth.

* The results of your PR analysis can be exported to a CSV file.

Commenting on DoFollow blogs is a great way to gain PageRank and link popularity. Using the correct title will also generate some traffic to your website or blog. When commenting on blogs you should read the post and comment the post itself, if you simply add your offer with some links you will not be very successful. This is called SPAM, don’t spam these blogs as you are wasting your time.
Here a list of DoFollow blogs (With PR), you can comment on :
