Step 1. First of all you should tell the online community who you are. Unless people know about you, you will be just an unknown identity and commonly people don’t like to deal with people they don’t know. Create an About Me or profile page to list your achievements, skills and aspirations, etc.

Step 2. It is advisable to create a MySpace page and link your biography in the Profile of your MySpace page with your website. Spend a few hours every week to develop your social network in MySpace. Invite a few of your new friends to write blog articles about your products or services.

Step 3. Install a free blog (Blogger or Wordpress) and start publishing at least one article every week. Add a bookmarking feature for social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us. You can use a small script or plugin that provides a number of buttons at the bottom of each article or post on your website or blog. Step 4. Be sure that the button for posting of blog articles to Digg is also included. Digg is a popular news ranking site. Can bring thousands of visitors to your website or blog. If you are using the wp-plugin I have offered for download then Digg is included.

Step 5. It helps to have a forum at your site or blog for users to discuss your products and services.

Step 6. If you are offering products, allow users to review or rate your products, also a good feature for posts.

Step 7. Be sure to create RSS feeds for new products, blogs, forum postings, etc.

Step 8. Publish all your feeds at Feedburner. Feedburner also provides an advertising network (Adsense) for your feeds. If you have quality content, you will be able to monetize your content.

Step 9. Try to create short tutorials or new product videos and post these on YouTube and Google video.

Step 10. Make use of social photo sharing sites like Flickr and SmugMug to share pictures.

Step 11. Provide the a feature to send article, news, product description to a recipient via mail.
